Many owners prefer multi-week rentals and may not accept 1week rentals until springtime of the peak season as there is such high demand. Other owners have other minimum stays ranging from 2-8 weeks.

Cancellation Policy by Owner – If the cottage is struck by disaster prior to the start date then the contract will be null and void and payments refunded.
Cancellation Policy by Guest –
Guest may cancel the agreement 150 days prior to the start of the rental period, the deposit will be returned less a fee of $2000 per week of reservation. If the Guest cancels the agreement 61 to 149 days prior to the start of the rental all deposits will be forfeited. If the Guest cancels the agreement less than 60 days before the start of the rental agreement the Guest is responsible for the full amount of the rent and is not entitled to any refund.
Deposit Policy – 50% of Rental Amount is due at time of booking, 25% if booked the calendar year prior to the rental and 25% on January 1 of the rental year. Balance of payment is due 60 days prior to arrival. Please note that there is a $250 penalty associated with late payment of the balance between 59-46 days prior to the commencement of the rental that will be charged to your credit card. At 45 days prior to the rental, the owner is entitled to treat the booking as cancelled as per below.
The owner is entitled to treat the booking of any Guest as cancelled in the event that: a) the Guest gives written notification of cancellation; b) the Guest fails to pay the full deposit due or the balance of rent by the time specified above. In the event that the booking is so cancelled, the owner may re-book the property for the period concerned or for part of that period.
